Love this place! Was my first time and sat out on the back patio overlooking the sea. I ordered the fisherman’s pie and it was excellent, lots of fresh seafood with creamy mashed potatoes. The Caesar salad was perfect dressed. My dining companion had the shepherds pie which was also delicious.

We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a view of the ocean and the incredible atmosphere. They're very busy, so be patient when you arrive. The food was incredible! It arrived piping hot and stayed fairly warm even in the breeze. I highly recommend the Salmon Wellington. The place is kid friendly as well. There are cabins with families staying in them, so it's not a quiet location. But great vibes and delicious food.

This is the best meal I've had on the island, hands down, and I love the food on this island. My sister and I were looking for a place that was peaceful after a very difficult day. We happened upon this pub and decided to sit and look at the ocean while we ate. Service was amazing! Food was the stuff of dreams! My sister had the steak and mushroom pie and the sauce was to die for. I had the chowder and it was absolute production. The building and the grounds are beautiful. It's located in a historical building, built by a famous local architect. We finished our meal with some slushy Italian sodas they're absolutely delightful. Since visiting I have recommended this place to anyone who will listen to me. I'm amazed at how many locals don't even know it's there. Do yourself a favor, you won't regret it.

We were in the mood for fish, chips and mushy peas and this option came up. The atmosphere is unique as a large home built in the early 1900s turned British style restaurant. The fish was very good and we loved our mushy peas. A pot of tea and lovely stout were paired with our food. Staff was very friendly and even the ghosts that hang around here were friendly and ok with sharing their home.

Spent a night with a few colleagues at this spot. Staff are very friendly and atmosphere was great. They had very good selection of drinks and food. I ordered a local IPA and beef wellington which awesome the whole menus was on the pricy side but was worth it.

The Black Goose Inn is located in a grand old building, built in 1921, with many nostalgic touches. True to the Old Brit Style, ie bangers and mash, Guinness etc, it won't disappoint if you have any royal leanings. We shared a Caesar salad and the seafood pot pie and enjoyed every morsel. The walk along the beach in Rathtrevor Park is world class!

Wandered along the beach and noticed on Google maps there was an oceanfront pub with a beautiful view within walking distance from the Rathtrevor Park camping, and we were just in time for happy hour (3 pm). Service was friendly and quick, food was hot and delicious, and the amazing view was second to none!

Originally came here for a casual dinner because a British restaurant is somewhat rare to find near Vancouver. The overall atmosphere is pretty good with the wooden finishing and the ocean view. The portion of the food was large. I like the freshness and crispness of the wedge salad with the emphasis of flavor from blue cheese. The sausages in the Apple sausage dish were well seasoned with herbal spices. The outer layer’s puff pastry offers a texture contrast to it. And the artichoke dip was flavorful and the sour taste really balanced the overall dip. It could be better if the bread slices were toasted to add just a bit of crunchiness.
